What is McCain's message that would make someone vote for him? Isn't he just more of the same? I don't understand why people would vote for McCain when he wants to keep the war going for much longer time and is backed by Bush and is Republican. I don't get it? Don't people want something better than what has been going on for 8 years? Except for people tied to lobbyists, why would ordinary citizens want McCain? I don't get it.

You know, many people here think that what you see and hear on TV is a bunch of bs. A lot of people already have Obama failing miserably.

The most important thing to remember here is that not everyone is going to like any of the candidates. That's why come November, both candidated will get votes.

They say a good way to judge is to ask if things are better now than they were when the current administration began.

Gee. I don't know, but the last time I looked:
1) I was paying $4/gal of gas
2) Our jobless rate has risen every month this year
3) The war in Iraq has only been termed a success by the Republicans because how else can they justify over 4,000 of our troops dead, and our country is billions of dollars in debt.
4) Most of us can't afford or are finding it increasingly hard to be able to afford health care.

I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that even if I were an independent I would ABSOLUTELY have to vote democrat. They are represented by a young, intelligent, driven man who's goal is to make a better country for us to live in. Now maybe he's a lot of hot air, but just like Bush (the republican) got a chance to show what he could do, I think it's time to let the democrat see what he can do.

Look at it this way. If Obama doesn't do anything in 4 years, then there's always 2012. But you have to ask yourself this question...Can we really afford NOT to elect Obama??
